Craft Ideas - A Pathway Flare

This outdoor flare is simple enough to make.
Any small tin, such as those with fish in them will do (well washed of course). A strip of box-cardboard as wide as the tin is high is rolled tightly to fit into the tin.
Pre-melt a bunch of old candles down (in a saucepan over boiling water, not directly over the flame). When your tin and cardboard are ready, pour some of the hot wax into the tin and allow to soak into the cardboard.
Once cooled down, your flare is ready to use.

NOTE: due to the flame size, these are recommended only for outside burning.
Several of these would be great along the path to your campfire to set the mood on the way to it.
